Laser Cutter Maintenance

Richard and I performed some preventative maintenance on the laser cutter:

  • Used windex to clean all the viewing ports
  • Vacuumed all debris out of the bed
  • Tightened up the head assembly belt and the set screws on the pulleys
  • Cleaned the ways with WD-40, then lubricated with oil
  • Oiled all bearings and bushings
  • Removed broken key from front cabinet lock
  • Cleaned mirrors and focal lens with optical wipes and alcohol
  • Aligned mirrors
